A self-imposed challenge to start 2025 is to create a photo a day that is worthy of the public to view - 31 photos in 31 days. I'm doing this an exercise in expanding my vision as I carry on my daily activities and to see where "photos" might exist that otherwise I would overlook. Photos were taken on the day indicated. Day 13 - January 13, 2025 "Wolf Moon". January's wolf moon. Taken same location as Day 12 (different camera) taken 45 minutes after sunset. Better to shoot the day before a full moon if you want to capture any details and sky color. Sony A7 iii 100-400 lens, post processed with Lightroom Classic, Topaz Photo AI.
Day 12 - January 12, 2025 "Moonrise at Sleepy Hollow". Taken one day before January's full moon (wolf moon) at approximately 25 minutes before sunset. I was photographing the sunset and turned around to see the moon and the last bit of the orange sunset light hitting the trees. Lesson learned: when photographing turn around and you might see other image opportunities. iPhone 15 Pro, post processed with Lightroom Classic, Topaz Photo AI, and Photoshop 2025.
Day 11 - January 11, 2025 "Light Bulb Reflection". With the cold weather and snow I've been able to explore some new techniques including this one. Using a tablet as the light source and foreground I was able to capture the reflection in the light bulb. Sony A7 iii 24-105 mm lens, post processed with Lightroom Classic, Topaz Photo AI, and Photoshop 2025.
Day 10 - January 10, 2025 "Birds on feeder with snow". Big snowstorm hit our area on the 10th and lots of birds active at our feeders during the snow. This was a good chance for me to practice my auto-focus settings and technique to freeze the bird's motion. Sony A7 iii 100-400mm lens, post processed with Lightroom Classic, Topaz Photo AI, and Photoshop 2025.
Day 9 - January 9, 2025 "Squirrel". Cold weather (and a forecasted snowstorm) has kept me close to the house so it's forced me to look for nearby subjects. I've seen squirrels "raid" our birdfeeders and I caught this one in action. He showed great agility in climbing up the pole to get to the sunflower seeds. Sony A7 iii 100-400mm lens, post processed with Lightroom Classic, Topaz Photo AI, and Photoshop 2025.
Day 8 - January 8, 2025 "Bismark". A stray german shepard that was rescued by my son and daughter-in-law in Texas. Usually timid and wary he stroke a perfect pose for me. iPhone 15 Pro, post processed with Lightroom Classic, and Photoshop 2025.
Day 7 - January 7, 2025 "Henry at play". Grandson, Henry, play with magnatiles one of his favorite toys. Children are easy subjects in a casual setting as most are used to having a phone pointed at them. iPhone 15 Pro, post processed with Lightroom Classic.
Day 6 - January 6, 2025 "Kitchen Drawer". Never know when a composition will appear ready to be photographed. In this case the disarray of a kitchen drawer was the inspiration. iPhone 15 Pro, post processed with Lightroom Classic.

Day 3 - January 3, 2025 "Crane and reflection". I took a trip to the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge in Decatur, Alabama to see some of the Sandhill Cranes that come there as part of their winter migration.
